Matthew had his first Tae Kwon Do testing last weekend. He started Tae Kwon Do this summer and decided to stick with it after school started even though the two activity limit was already fulfilled with soccer and piano. Because of the respect and concentration it takes to be successful at Tae Kwon Do, Bubba and I decided it would be good for him to continue.

Matthew had to learn his poomse and practice it 200 times the week before the test, write an essay titled "What Is Respect" which he wrote entirely by himself, and his teacher and parents had to answer questions about his school so far and his home life.
He did very well and we are proud to say he passed form white belt to white with a yellow stripe. He also broke his first board.

At the belt ceremony, Matthew was so proud to have passed his first test and the confidence he left with was incredible. He hopes to continue until he is a black belt and we will support him in that venture. Good job little buddy!
